This is, in fact, a tale from the real world.

For those of you who haven't had the horrifying joy of working retail in an electronics store, the early hours of the weekday tend to be pretty slow all-around, so you spend most of your time getting busy work done before people get out of work and come torment you.

As it so happens, it's during this time when you'll start to get Those Customers. They're a little different everywhere, but there's always Those Customers who just creep everyone the fuck out, never seem to really buy anything, and generally make your morning in retail hell just a fraction more uncomfortable.

This particular specimen was COMPELLED to get my opinion on the olfactory status of a pack of DVD cases. To this day I'm not sure exactly what I was supposed to be smelling, or why it was so vital that I form an opinion on the odor of said cases, but his response was... non-traditional, to say the least.

Later, he also told me how to use my smart phone to produce gamma particles. This is a useful weapon against Them when They finally reveal Themselves and conquer our civilizations through forgotten, unused radio signals.

I really hate retail.

Hey folks, since I know most of you don't follow my Twitter (GAWDIMSOLONELY) I just wanted to let you all know the comic'll be a little late, so most likely a Sunday update rather than Saturday.

Lack of medication has seriously slowed the process down, having to stop because my joints are aflame is frustrating.

Anyway, yeah, sorry about that.

I've noticed that the plastic smell is SLIGHTLY different depending on the product.

I'm a fan of New Game Smell more so than the others, but they're rarely unpleasant.

Unless they smell like farts. That happens.
